Christmas Pages

20 Mar

As promised, here are the pages I finished from Christmas 2018 – and wasn’t it a blast!  I planned out the pages early so they were all ready to go, but it took ages to collect all the photos and get them printed.  Always excuses!  Remember that this layout features two double pages in ‘Blue Jeans’, cut using the ‘Celestial’ stencil.  Here’s the left-hand double page closed, followed by open.

The musical notes on the front star and the paper inside the inner star are printed using the Silent Night stamp set.  The musical notes are from the Silent Night Die set but are also on the silhouette figures sheet.  For a casual effect, the journalling meanders across the pages.

The right-hand double page is next, followed by that page open.  Notice that the star is cut out to create a window so you see the person in the photo below (would you believe that piano accordion is 56 years old, has not been out of the box in 40 or so years and is still in perfect, new condition?).

The back of the right-hand double page has the end of the story – a fun afternoon in the pool with the new pool slide.  While it is a totally different look to the page, this is also the ‘Celestial’ stencil.  The unicorn float is the stamp and die set of the same name – grandson #3 is mad keen on unicorns.

There’s lots of happy memories on those pages!

I am just putting the finishing touches on my Verlaine pages set and that will be shown to you soon.

Craft Alive is coming to Caloundra next month, 12th – 14th April, so make sure you come and check out these pages in the fresh.  They always look better in the real world rather than in pictures.  This is the first Craft Alive on the Sunshine Coast so it is very exciting.  You can see the products up close, buy what you need (and don’t need but would dearly love) and book in for a class in beautiful Maleny!

See  you then!

Anita
