Hi All,
The new AZZA Stencil CELESTIAL has inspired many with pages for Christmas. Remember that it can also be used for other subjects and this is one of my travel pages.
The papers have been decorated with ink and the Silent Night texture stencil.
Making Christmas decorations with the grandchildren is always a fun (but messy) activity and I have a ‘tree’ ready for them to decorate. In fact this is a stick from a fallen branch, painted in house paint. The deer and stockings are the MDF ones in the Christmas catalogue. Check it out on our website http://azzaworld.com.au .
The stamp kit I_TAM 1026 Oh Deer was used for the stockings. I used the stamp plate (without the sponge insert spacer) for the stockings as I did multiple stampings to get the intensity of ink I wanted. For the deer I used silver ink (brushed on), printed paper and some glitter tape around the neck, but the stamp looks good on the deer as well. You may just notice dark shading on the back of the neck and legs, plus the black pen for the hooves, nose and eyes. These make all the difference and bring the deer to life.
As I had some spare time last week (a noteworthy event) I decided to get my pages ready for the Christmas Photos. I decided on the blue and silver theme this year and prepped 2 facing double pages (in Blue Jean) for a large fold-out. I also played with the Silent Night dies. The round decorations are the snowflakes punched and placed on circles decorated with the Silent Night texture stencil. The decorations are just attached to the ‘holed’ section of the page with removable tape for safe keeping until they are used.
Enjoy the Christmas break. My next class in Maleny is Saturday 12th January 2019 and I hope to see you there! (please book in, anitas.azzaworld@gmail.com).
